Today I am working on my presentation for a talk I am giving in Saint John on Sunday. I have been asked to talk about Sex, Libido and Intimacy. These are huge subjects to be covered in only ½ hour, but I will do my best to shed some light on the way I see things.
This will be at a women’s retreat in Saint John and women have been asking for this information. These are subjects that seem to be hidden even though information is all over the internet these days. The problem is in knowing what to believe and who to listen to.
This is an area that I got into accidentally. I applied for a day job in Reproductive Health, thinking that I was going to be helping women with fertility issues only to find out that I was going to be talking about sex with parents and more importantly youth. It was a huge learning curve but a journey I am very happy that I was able to take.
I learned so much and I love sharing what I have learned. Why we still have such a taboo about such this subject is beyond me! Knowledge is said to be power but I believe using knowledge is power. We can continue our lives blindly without information about these subject or we can empower ourselves.
This Sunday, October 27th I will be sharing with over 150 women and I am really looking forward to it.
