To Dream

Dedicated to my webmaster Susan Robichaud, Axion Marketing

Susan just said: “ I wish you would write a blog someday on Dreams.  I decided that there is no time like the present and I love a challenge.

It is interesting that this week I did one of those quizzes on facebook…you know the ones where you determine what personality you are, what animal you are, what bird you are. The one I took this week was about what type of person are you. Turns out I am a dreamer.

That was not news to me. While in high school, my teachers suggested to my parents that if I would just stop daydreaming I would be smart.  Mark Twain said  “real education starts when you unlearn everything you learned in school.” I guess I was about forty years old when I realized that my ability to dream was a real gift!

What I realized at that time was that my dreaming in school was really about hearing something that interested me and going off into another world to explore the concept or idea.

This morning as I reflect, Susan and I met at a networking event and connected right away. We talked about our dreams and our businesses and we have been working together ever since. She is experiencing, my dreaming about the possibilities with my new branding and she is sharing her dreams, one of which is her new onedollarmission.ca  I have learned to look at the potentials in my life!  Les Brown says, “ You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”

I have been a dreamer my entire life. If I had not given myself permission to dare to dream, I would not be where I am today.  I’m still dreaming! Are you?

What about you? What are your dreams? Are you dreaming big enough?  Dream long and hard and your dreams will start to turn into reality.
