Today is the Day!

Today is the Day!

It has. Been an interesting week to say the least. Since I could not watch my favorite basketball team this year due to the pandemic, I decided to watch the NBA Canadian Team, the Raptors. I cannot help but chuckle at the behavior of the fans.

These players are playing professional basketball and each organization is running a business. Our team recently lost 9 games in a row mostly due to COVID protocols and/or getting COVID. Finally last night it appeared they are all feeling much better and as a team they had a big win.

What is fascinating me is the number of experts there are in the fan base. A lot of people have a lot of opinions and they express them. What I find particularly funny this week is that today is the final day any trading of players can take place. Between 3 and 8 today it will be decided.

Someone starts a rumour about one of the players being traded. Someone picks that up and shares it as if it is true and then they behave as if it is true, when in reality we really will not know until later today!

In life in general how often do we do that? We take in information and attach our perspective to it and then behave as if it is true. We think because we perceive it that way everyone else does to! This is how relationships get into trouble.  In our choice theory training programs we talk about this very thing and we talk about what to do about it.

Our next online training program starts April 15. This is the “hybrid” program. What this means is you get to study the modules for a couple of weeks and then we come together virtually to discuss your learning.  We will do this over 12 weeks. To find out more and to register go here:
