Suddenly this past spring we were told to stay at home! The only place one could go was to get essential services like groceries. This meant that many employees were sent home to work from home. It meant that many of us that have meetings outside our workplace, had more time because we did not spend that time travelling.
I realize that what I did was fill my time up with a lot of activities. Oh boy, I have lots of extra time. I can join an extra toastmaster’s club! Oh! I can join this webinar and that webinar. I can give more energy to my volunteer work with Glasser Canada and others.
Well, guess what? I overloaded myself. I needed to take a break and reassess where I am and what I want to do. This is something that I know all too well. It is very easy to fill our time and not so easy to find more time. After all, we all have only 24 hours in a day.
Summer arrived and I found myself wanting to take a break. I stopped writing. After much reflection, I know that I need to reclaim doing what I love to do and drop some of the add in’s in my life. Because I work as a coach and a counselor, I know there are a lot of people who have done the same thing. A lot of people are working with more stress and anxiety and even trust issues in their lives.
If you need someone to help you get organized in a new way, to act as your sounding board, contact me and set up an appointment. As a counsellor, I can offer an appointment on a Private Zoom contact. My counselling services are now covered by some insurance companies.
On another note, I am in the process of setting up a new group coaching program. Empowering Relationships Inner Circle will be starting again later in the fall. I want to have a program so that more people can get the services they need.
Yours in growing awareness
