Change is Inevitable

Falling leaves small

Everything around us is constantly changing. As I ponder this I look outside and see the bright colors of our leaves on our trees. These will soon be falling off as they prepare for winter. My cactus plant is beginning to flower. It is supposed to be a Christmas Cactus, but it has never bloomed at Christmas.

After the warm summer, my African Violet is blooming as well. Speaking of blooming, our grandchildren were here over the weekend. They have had a very busy summer, so we have not had much time with them. It was fun to have them for Thanksgiving Dinner. They too are blooming into quite the young men and women.

With everything changing all the time, why is it that humans sometimes have difficulty with change? Change is the only thing we can be sure of. It will happen whether we want it to or not. But are we equipped to deal with change? Take the current election, will the elected government change? It has been like a ping pong show for a long time, back and forth between two parties. Do we take the time to really think into what is best for our country?

One of the first questions we ask when using Reality Therapy is “What do you want?” People are often surprized by this question. What do you mean they say? In many instances they have never been asked that question. For sure our children do not get asked that question very often. Oh yes, we ask it when choosing a piece of clothing or a toy or something but what about the important stuff?

You see that question is designed to tap into the pictures we hold in our head of people places and things we would like to have, be or do. These things are so important yet most of the world does not understand it. These are some of the skills learned in our Choice Theory, Reality Therapy Training. If you sign up for the training in the next five days, you will pay only $575.00. After October 20 it will be $805.00. So sign up today. www.choicetheorytraining.com
